GOOD CHARLOTTE Releases 'Self Help' Video
October 26, 2018GOOD CHARLOTTE has released a new music video for "Self Help", the latest single off the band's recently released album "Generation Rx". The video provides a physical metaphor for the song's tough lyrical themes, following a boxer as he works to better himself and his mind. It's a glance into the demanding perseverance that it takes to overcome self-doubt, depression, personal frustration, and other mental health issues. The video was filmed onsite at City of Angels Boxing Gym in Los Angeles, California and Summit Theater in Colorado. Jake Stark, with whom the band previously worked with on their impactful music videos for singles "Prayers" and "Shadowboxer", directed the piece.
"Generation Rx" was released on September 14 via MDDN/BMG. The album represents both a new chapter and full circle moment for GOOD CHARLOTTE — brothers Joel (vocals) and Benji Madden (guitar, vocals),Billy Martin (guitar),Paul Thomas (bass) and Dean Butterworth (drums). Powered by punk spirit, rock songcraft, and cinematic ambition, they retain the signature vitality and vulnerability of their formative years, while delivering an urgent, unafraid, and undeniable message befitting of two decades in the game.
GOOD CHARLOTTE is currently on tour in celebration of the record, and will be performing in major cities across the United States and Canada through the end of November. The band will return to the road in Europe for a tour kicking off February 1, 2019.
